vs workspace apps
| Plugin app | Workspace app | |
|---|---|---|
| Fits | Full professional systems (HR, warehouse, compliance, email, camera) | Department tools (notebook, simple receiving, reports) |
| Where it comes from | Professional modules the platform connects | Created from a template, or tell the assistant “help me create an app” |
| How you work | Tell the app assistant what to do | Open the app and fill forms; you can also improve the UI in chat |
What is already available
| After you open | What you can do | You can tell the app assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Human Resources | Org, people, hire/leave/transfer, jobs and levels | “List departments”, “add a test group under R&D”, “register Zhang San’s hire” |
| Warehouse | Items, inbound/outbound, counts, valuable-item ownership | “Check inventory”, “receive 10 boxes” |
| Compliance | Check programs, plans, start a check | “What check programs exist”, “start a check on R&D” |
| Receive, compose, forward, personal or shared mailboxes; the assistant can draft body, replies, and forward notes | “Any unread?”, “write a post-meeting confirmation”, “reply to this: decline and suggest next Wednesday”, “forward this to Li” | |
| Camera | Face-recognition cameras: access, clock-in, unexpected-person alerts; recordings on disk, replay by time | “Who clocked in today”, “playback for the gate at 3 pm” |
| E-Sign | Mock signing for labor contracts or other contracts; credit pack; workflows can wait until signed | “Start a labor contract”, “list awaiting signature”, “mark this one signed” |
| Supply chain | Before an order: capacity, price, and business risk; a schedule; an evidence report and a product lookup code | “List suppliers”, “what light is this order”, “save an evidence report for this order” |
| FLR evidence | For an export batch, compare attendance, payroll, social insurance, and work orders, and record whether the tier-1 supplier sent the same pack back | “Load the customer demo”, “open readiness for the duvet batch”, “export the pillowcase comparison” |
| Dual compliance | For an export batch, see missing labour evidence, supplier risk, and the product passport | “Which batch is not ready”, “create actions for the duvet”, “export the pillowcase pack” |
Compliance evidence and to-dos are handled in Workflow. After hire/leave/transfer completes, a handling flow can start automatically — see Human Resources settings.
How to open
- Select a workspace in the top bar
- Tap Apps, then the matching icon
With no workspace selected, the apps desktop is unavailable. The first time an admin opens a plugin, its notes sync into workspace knowledge so assistants understand the module.
Who to talk to
After you open a plugin, tell the app assistant what you want. It acts within your permissions; you do not have to memorize which tab to click. Only “how do I open such-and-such page” gets an entry explanation.
The same kind of request to the help agent in another module uses the same operations, not “please click the page yourself”.
vs embedding into a legacy system
| Your situation | Better fit |
|---|---|
| Colleagues already work in a legacy system | Embed the assistant into that page |
| You want HR, warehouse, checks, email, camera, E-Sign, and chat in one workplace | Plugin apps |
| You need both | You can do both |
